PARAQUAT (gramoxone)

is an industrial strength herbicide that has been used in United States agricultural production for decades, despite being banned in more than 70 other countries. Exposure to this deadly chemical leads to an irreversible chain of events, namely Parkinson’s Disease. Paraquat bears a chemical structure similar to MTMP, which is synthetic, lab-produced heroin. Paraquat has also been described as mass-produced cyanide.

PARAQUAT (gramoxone)

Syngenta, the manufacturer of Paraquat has known of its problems since the 1970’s, after its own internal testing indicated the dangers to human exposure. Despite this, the greedy corporate representatives decided that their compensation packages were more important than the health and well-being of those individuals exposed to their defective drugs. Paraquat is known as a ‘total-kill’ herbicide, but the ultimate consequence is that the product is a ‘total-kill’ for any living human who is exposed.

For years, Paraquat was marketed and sold under various brand names, including, Paraquat (gramoxone), Ortho-Paraquat, Quick-Quat, Cyclone SL 2.0, Helmquat, Parazone, Firestorm, Devour, and Lorsban/Dursban.

Exposure to Paraquat, either directly as an herbicide applicator, or indirectly as a person living near large scale agricultural operations can lead to Parkinson’s Disease, which is an irreversible neurological condition that ultimately leads to death. Some of the other symptoms of Paraquat exposure are:

Tremors

Prolonged or severe stiffness in joints/limbs

Difficulty with regular body movements

Loss of balance

Difficulty walking (slow walking speed, shuffling feet while walking, etc.)

Difficulty speaking or low tone/volume of voice

Lack of facial expression, blank stare, difficulty matching facial expression to emotion

Drooling

Small or reduced handwriting size

Trembling

Whole body fatigue

Dizziness

Amnesia or confusion in the evening

Apathy

Hallucinations

Anxiety

Delusions

Multi-district litigation (“MDL”) has been formed against the makers and distributers of Paraquat, which seek compensation for:
